It is really hard for us to have him gone, but I actually think that it's just as hard on him to be gone, if not harder. (Don't tell him I said that! I'll lose all my complaining and sympathy points!)
So the boys and I made him a little photobook to bring with him while he's away. It's only full of iPhone pictures, nothing off the DSLR, but I love it. I rarely print those pictures, so it's nice to have a record of them somewhere.
